We are looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) for our reputable team of mental health professionals

Job Description:
Responsible for scheduling new and existing patients with a high degree of accuracy. Applicants must be willing to work full-time, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule new and established patients with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct patient outreach, follow-up calls, and appointment reminders.
- Support care coordination and follow-up on patient care plans.
- Review patient charts and identify outstanding care needs or care gaps.
- Update and maintain accurate patient information and medical records.
- Document patient interactions and care coordination activities in the EMR/EHR.
- Coordinate effectively with providers, Medical Assistants, and other clinical staff.
- Assist with medication list review and reconciliation under provider direction.
- Process and follow up on medication refill requests and prior authorizations as required.
- Assist with insurance-related documentation, coding, and forms.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, care coordination, and administrative needs.
- Escalate clinical concerns or patient issues to the appropriate provider or clinical staff.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable U.S. healthcare regulations.
- Follow established office policies, procedures, workflows, and quality standards.
- Contribute to a professional, respectful, cooperative, and patient-centered work environment.

Qualifications:
- Must have a working knowledge/experience of EMR / HER
- Must have a typing speed of at least 40 WPM (words per minute)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
- Able to answer and screen incoming calls
- Adhere to established office policies, procedures, and systems
- Communicate with patients and team members with a high degree of accuracy using available tools
- Maintain confidentiality of data and information
- Maintain a positive working relationship and cultivate a cooperative work environment
- Must be trustworthy and dependable and maintain a sense of humor and a positive attitude
- Must have strong administrative and leadership skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Requirements:
- Must have experience in handling prior authorization, pre-certification, and medication refills
- Must have experience in updating patient’s medical records, uploading patient’s charts, updating patient’s history, and keeping track of medications, dosage, and side effects
