Cleaver Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pain Management team!
We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and clinically focused team member who enjoys working directly with patients and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. This position will play an important role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive excellent care throughout their visit.
Position Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for provider visits
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical history
- Perform urine drug screenings and other clinical testing as directed
- Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
- Review and update patient medications and medical history
- Pull and organize medical records, imaging, and other relevant patient information
- Accurately document patient information and care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Respond to patient voicemails and assist with clinical follow-up as needed
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, questions, and care instructions
- Assist with prescription-related requests and provider messages within the scope of the role
- Coordinate with providers and other clinical team members to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and practice policies
- Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient care
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred
- Pain management experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
