About the Role
At Noble Community Clinics, our Medical Assistants are vital members of our care team. In this role, you will support providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, help maintain smooth clinic operations, and create a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. You will assist in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of service.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and updating patient charts.
- Document patient information in the EMR following best practice standards including compliance with HIPPA.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect/prep specimens for analysis.
- Administer injectable medications and immunizations as ordered by Provider.
- Immunization ordering, tracking, and daily inventory monitoring in adherence with the Vaccines for Children Program and the Wisconsin Immunization Registry.
- Educate patients on follow-up care, procedures, and treatments.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical equipment to ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation (experience with Epic preferred).
- Triage patient calls and provide backup support at the front desk when needed.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and patient confidentiality regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant Certification
- CPR/BLS Certification required.
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organization and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of EMR, medical terminology, medications, immunizations, phlebotomy and lab preferred.
