About the Role:
Williamsburg Urgent Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team in Williamsburg, VA! Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare and room patients in a timely and professional manner
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR system
- Sterilize and prepare exam rooms and medical equipment between patients
- Support front and back office operations as needed in an urgent care setting
Requirements:
- Current CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or equivalent) required
- Previous experience in urgent care, primary care, or a clinical setting preferred
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and clinical back-office procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-volume environment
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
