Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care and make critical assessments! Expectations:
- Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
- Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
- Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
- Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
- Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
