Job Description

First Coast Cardiovascular Institute (FCCI) is Northeast Florida’s largest hospital-independent cardiology group. FCCI is seeking a catheterization lab technologist to join our growing practice. The candidate will be a member of the cardiovascular and interventional services team and will be assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures.

Position Requirements:

· A high school diploma and Associates Degree in a clinic or scientific field is preferred.

· Clinical registration or licensure as one of: RCVT, RCIS, RRT or RTR.

· Candidate with at least 1 year of cath lab experience strongly preferred

· Must be organized, attentive, dependable, and motivated.

· Position is full-time with some travel required

Position Summary:

· Assist physicians in the tasks and responsibilities necessary in the performance of cardiac catheterization and peripheral angiography.

· Independently provide patient care, pre and post procedure, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Maintain & operate cath lab and recovery equipment
• Use sterile techniques to set up and maintain the appropriate instrument and supply table for various procedures performed in the cath lab
• Assist the physicians in the cath lab procedures
• Maintain and operate image processing equipment
• Strong background in Hemodynamic monitoring & complex physiological processes
