Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Performs technically correct echocardiograms that are of high resolution and contrast quality per protocol
Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology for echocardiographic diagnostic purposes.
Maintains quality control procedures and records on echocardiographic equipment.
Performs cardiac diagnostic cardiac procedures (EKGs, EEGs, holter monitoring/scanning, telephonic arrhythmia monitoring) per protocol for both inpatients and outpatients; adult and pediatric.
Recognizes both abnormal EKG rhythms and cardiac abnormalities on echo that are potentially life threatening notifying appropriate person, RN or MD.
Checks emergency resuscitation/crash cart equipment daily and assures availability for procedures.

Required

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI or
Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

Other Graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology
One year acute care ultrasound experience
