Essentia Health is seeking surgical technologist students to commit to serve in the operating room at our hospital on 32nd Avenue in Fargo, North Dakota. Selected applicants will receive an educational assistance benefit of $20,000 in exchange for serving at Essentia Health for a contracted period of 2 years upon graduation. You must be currently enrolled in an accredited surgical technology program to qualify. Enrollment in prerequisites or a certificate program will not qualify you for this benefit.Education Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

What You'll Do:
Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages. They are also responsible for tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies. May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required within one year of hire.
AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 1 month of hire.
Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) with the North Dakota Board of Nursing is required upon hire.
