Environmental Services Operating Room Tech - evening/night shift

Schedule: Per diem, weekend availability, evening/nights

Provides the highest level of disinfection & cleaning (terminal cleaning) for operating rooms, OB operating room, Angio procedure room & APC procedure rooms. 

• Also, the OR Technician maintains a pleasant and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. 
• Complies with all regulatory requirements of JACHO, State Health Department and other regulatory agencies.

Required Job Specific Competencies: 

• Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment.
• Strictly & consistently follows procedures for highest levels of disinfection that is required in operating rooms, scrub & sterile areas & surrounding non-sterile spaces. 
• Is knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety. 
• Is able to work with minimal supervision. 
• Is able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments in an efficient manner. 
• Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments. 
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.    
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer 2 to 5 years of relative work experience.

Pay Range: $18.40 - $20.50/hr

Starting Rate: Based on experience.
