About the Role:
Woodrome Medical PA is looking for an experienced Front Desk Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Livingston, TX. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated healthcare team where your organizational skills and patient-first attitude will make a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional, friendly manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Answer multi-line phone system, route calls, and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographics in the EHR system
- Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and communication between patients and clinical staff
- Ensure front desk area is organized, HIPAA-compliant, and running efficiently
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of front desk experience in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pays, and basic medical billing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
