Full job details
The Radiology Special Procedures (RSP) Technologist II is responsible for the management and coordination of patient care for the patients in the designated Radiology area. He/she accomplishes this responsibility through the performance of Special Procedure exams and in coordination and collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the patient care team. He/she provides care, which is consistent with the needs of the age of the population served. Patients include inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients. The population of these patients varies from pediatrics to geriatric patients.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must meet the educational requirement for Radiologic Technologist certification with ARRT
- Must be registered in radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology with documented Continuing Education to maintain registration/certification.
- CPR certified or obtained within 30 days of hire
- One or more years of Interventional Radiology experience in an acute care setting and/or graduate of an accredited Interventional Radiology Technologist training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or higher
Skills
- Must have documented experience in performing venipuncture initiating IV Therapy and/or willing to complete the required training and examination in this area.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to meet consistent and punctual attendance.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
- Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
- Ability to provide proper care based on patient age or physical/mental status.
