Orders lab tests in the computer with Medical Necessity. Receives laboratory specimens. Check orders for accuracy. Fax results and answer phones. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates specific specimen collection skills as listed and in accordance with the laboratory assistant manual.        2.     Demonstrates specific specimen processing                skills as listed and in accordance with the laboratory assistant manual.        3.     Demonstrates specific laboratory outpatient skills as listed and in accordance with the laboratory                                                                     assistant manual. 4.     Represents the department in a professional manner. 5.     Performs phlebotomy at Staunton Rehab and the Clinics. QualificationsEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:                 Education Level:                  High School diploma or equivalent.                 Certification/Licensure:                 BLS                           Experience Requirements:                Paramedical training preferred.
