Full job details
Udder Health Systems is a bovine diagnostic laboratory serving the dairy industry across the county. The Lab Tech position in Jerome Milk Quality Lab will assist Lab Analysts in providing the following support:
- Receive and rack samples (milk, water, towels, bedding, etc.)
- Data entry of sample information
- Sample setup; plating prep; plating samples
- Restocking field inventory items
- Receive and unpack lab media orders
- Receive shipping; unpack and place in inventory
- Clean freezers, racks, autoclaving in accordance with lab maintenance guidelines
- Sample pick up up to 6 hours per day (driving company vehicle)
- Field supply organization and prep
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and be familiar with database systems
- Ability to work autonomously in a busy lab environment
- Some education in life sciences preferred; lab experience preferred
This is a full time position, primarily Monday-Friday, with some weekend work as needed. Full benefit package available.
