Lab Technician I - Flagstaff

Job Details: Job Location: Flagstaff - Flagstaff, AZ, Position Type: Part Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Any, Lab Technician – Laboratory Operations- Flagstaff, AZ We are seeking a self-motivated Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Operations team. In this role, you will prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens at your assigned workstation. The Lab Technician is responsible for reading and scanning Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ordering applicable tests in the system, and applying barcoded labels to ensure samples are properly prepared for the testing process. Shift: Part Time - Every Sat 8am-445pm & a couple days during the week depending on lab needs Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM Primary Responsibilities Perform routine operations including opening sample bags, creating accessions and batches, ordering proper test(s), and applying barcode labels Scan Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ensuring proper orientation and clear, reproducible documents Verify proper aliquot volume; may be required to hand-pour aliquots using bulb pipettes Identify and separate samples requiring additional attention Enter client and donor information, noting any deficiencies after Team Lead sign-off Assist with transporting batches to other departments and placing or retrieving samples from freezer storage while maintaining proper chain of custody Follow all laboratory policies and procedures and adhere to health and safety standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience working in a laboratory or high-volume production environment preferred Ability to interpret and follow complex written instructions required Strong attention to detail required Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a team environment required Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) required Strong hand-eye coordination required Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend, and carry as needed Benefits Cordant supports employees by offering a comprehensive benefits package to eligible staff (per state regulations), including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) • Paid Time Off (PTO) beginning Day 1 • Volunteer Time Off (VTO) • Paid Holidays • 401(k) with Company Match • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD) • Company-Paid Basic Life Insurance #LAB123   Qualifications:
