Laboratory Technician
Twining, Inc., an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company with 120 years of history, is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Long Beach facility.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Performing various types of soils, concrete, asphalt, steel preparation and testing.
- Obtaining in-house training on machine safety and test method proficiency.
- Enter samples into our software accurately.
- Creating new work order numbers and entering testing data and billing items.
- Computer data entry.
- Assistance in other departments in the laboratory as needed.
- Assist with pickups and deliveries as needed to support business operations.
- Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed to support business operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in concrete, soils, steel and rebar testing helpful.
- 1+ years previous experience working with construction materials helpful.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Ability to work well as both a team player and individual self-starter.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
- Basic computer skills, specifically experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
- Solid communication skills.
- Clean DMV record.
