Position Summary and Highlights:

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is seeking a dedicated Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist.

• Schedule: Position is scheduled for 36 hours a week on day shift from 7am to 7pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

• License to practice respiratory care from the Idaho Board of Medicine required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Two years of clinical experience required, preferably in a critical care or emergency department.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare provider's certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

What You Will Do:

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric as applicable).
• Revenue management: ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to the patients.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize changes in the patient's condition, make independent judgments, and modify the care as necessary according to departmental standards and approved physician protocols.
• With high degree of competence, performs all aspects of respiratory care delivered at this facility.
• Monitors the proper utilization of all Respiratory Care systems. Adjusts staffing levels to meet workload demands. Functions as a resource therapist, assisting with patient are as needed. Carries a partial workload and/or assist with starting new patient care activity.
• Confers with RT Manager/Director and RT Coordinators to identify educational programs to maintain and develop skills of respiratory care personnel.
• Performs annual employee performance appraisals as assigned by manager.
