This position performs a variety of mammographic and imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care. Serving as the primary point of contact for patients, this role helps create a positive imaging experience while supporting accurate, efficient services and participating in continuous quality improvement (CQI) and quality assurance (QA) activities.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Three to five years’ experience in radiographic and mammography procedures, preferred. Must meet FDA guidelines for performing mammography procedures and meets FDA/ARRT educational requirements prior to being allowed to perform Mammography procedures on their own.
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current registry with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist in radiology and mammography is required. Permit to practice as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Montana required.
REGULATORY: Practices within scope as defined by the State of Montana, ARRT, ASRT and ACR practice standards.
