This role requires a commitment to providing excellent patient care while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols. Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety. Maintain and operate mammography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Review and evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper documentation. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to discuss findings and enhance patient care. Adhere to all safety standards and protocols, including the use of protective equipment. Maintain patient records and imaging documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in mammography. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging department. Working Conditions: Radiation exposure; adherence to safety protocols is essential. QualificationsQualifications Valid certification as a Mammography Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification in Mammography). Current state licensure, or licensure within 12 months Minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography preferred. Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
