Full-Time Medical Assistant

The Primary Care Center is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our physician office team.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside our providers and clinical team to support the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Greet patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures

• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication information, and other clinical information

• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures

• Perform clinical tasks within applicable training and scope of practice

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate supplies and equipment

• Assist with medication reconciliation and prescription-related requests as directed

• Coordinate laboratory testing, diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up care

• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, instructions, and provider-directed information

• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record

• Assist with telephone calls, patient messages, and other clinical communications

• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements

• Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, office staff, and other members of the healthcare team

What We’re Looking For

• Medical Assistant training or previous experience in a physician office or outpatient clinical setting preferred

• Medical Assistant certification or credential preferred

• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment

• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred

• A dependable, professional team member who is committed to providing an excellent patient experience
