About the Role:

JUNUH IN HOME AND HEALTHCARE LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team in Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities:

Assist clinical staff with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
Record and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and health information in EMR systems
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply inventory
Administer medications and injections as directed by supervising healthcare providers
Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification a plus
Previous clinical or in-home healthcare experience preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills
Strong phlebotomy and vital signs assessment skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a commitment to quality care
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for in-home visits
