The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring the smooth operation of clinical and administrative tasks within a medical facility. This position involves direct patient interaction, including preparing patients for examinations. The Medical Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment. Additionally, this role requires effective communication skills to answer phones and coordinate patient care with other healthcare staff and providers. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant contributes to delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall efficiency of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and in office procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms to comply with health regulations.
- Manage patient communications by answering phones and providing information as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support administrative tasks .
Skills:
The required skills such as Medical Assisting are essential for performing clinical duties accurately and safely, ensuring patient comfort and compliance with health standards. Preferred skills like familiarity with electronic health records and multitasking enable the Medical Assistant to manage administrative responsibilities efficiently while supporting clinical operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques.
- Basic knowledge of medical instruments and sterilization procedures.
- Experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
