About the Role:
The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by performing both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care. This position involves preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. The Medical Assistant acts as a liaison between patients and medical staff, ensuring clear communication and a smooth workflow within the clinical environment. By accurately handling medical instruments and maintaining patient records, the Medical Assistant contributes to the overall quality and safety of healthcare delivery. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy and draw blood samples following proper protocols.
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
- Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and examination rooms to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and follow-up care instructions.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
