Medical Assistant


Purpose: Assist medical and nursing staff in providing an excellent client experience.

Job Duties:

  1. Assist medical providers and nursing staff daily. 

  2. Perform point of care testing.

  3. Record vital signs & assessment flow sheets.

  4. Maintain detailed records in EMR systems.

  5. Assisting with routine checks and diagnostic testing by collecting and processing specimens. 

  6. Monitor supplies regularly and submit orders in a timely manner. 

  7. Monitor patients in clinical care for current needs, adherence to policies & procedures, and clinical or medical related issues.

  8. Assist with observing medications as needed.


Education and Experience and/or Certification Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  2. CPR, First Aid/AED certification (provided by Freeman, if needed) required.
  3. CNA or MA certification preferred.
