Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:                                                                                          

• Responsible for assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
• Assisting with procedures and performing specialty-related tests/monitoring. This includes, but is not limited to, ear cleanings, nasal endoscopy setup, flexible laryngoscopy support, minor in-office procedures such as biopsies, cautery, wound care, and support for allergy testing and immunotherapy.
• Scheduling appointments for new and established patients as needed. 
• Updating records as needed.
• Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: 

Medical Assistant (Must be Certified within 90 days): 

• Level I: $22.65-$30.65 per hour.
• Level II: $23.91-$32.35 per hour. 

Credentialed Medical Assistant:    

• Level I: $25.17-$34.05 per hour.
• Level II: $27.69-$37.46 per hour.
• Level III: $30.45-$41.20 per hour. 

Workdays: This role is located at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Plaza II. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am - 5:00 pm).

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:

• Minimum of one year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Experience in Specialty Care Ear, Nose & Throat is a plus! 
• Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
• Familiarity with authorization and referral processes.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
