Join our fast-paced Neurosciences team supporting patients across Neurology and Neurosurgery. Our Neurosurgery clinic cares for patients with spine, brain, pituitary and neuro-oncology conditions and is supported by a collaborative team of Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, including medical/surgical history, vital signs, medication reconciliation and screenings
• Communicate pertinent patient information to providers
• Manage patient in-basket messages, medication refills and prior authorizations
• Prepare and stock exam rooms and monitor supplies and expiration dates
• Support efficient patient flow in a high-volume clinical environment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical office, ambulatory care facility, or medical group practice.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Registered Medical Assistant from board approved Medical Assistant Organization highly preferred.
• Medical Assistant experience 2+ years
• Neurosurgery/Neurology experience 1+ years
• Epic experience
• Prior Authorizations
