Join our fast-paced Neurosciences team supporting patients across Neurology and Neurosurgery. Our Neurosurgery clinic cares for patients with spine, brain, pituitary and neuro-oncology conditions and is supported by a collaborative team of Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including medical/surgical history, vital signs, medication reconciliation and screenings
- Communicate pertinent patient information to providers
- Manage patient in-basket messages, medication refills and prior authorizations
- Prepare and stock exam rooms and monitor supplies and expiration dates
- Support efficient patient flow in a high-volume clinical environment
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical office, ambulatory care facility, or medical group practice.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Registered Medical Assistant from board approved Medical Assistant Organization highly preferred.
- Medical Assistant experience 2+ years
- Neurosurgery/Neurology experience 1+ years
- Epic experience
- Prior Authorizations
