Overview

This is an integral role in the coordination of care with providers delivering optimal health care experience for patients of all ages. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician or provider.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Leader after competency is established.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
  • One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) 

    • PREFERRED

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  • One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Clinical experience in medical office required, urgent care or emergency department experience.
  • Some college or medical coursework.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Expert knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
  • Knowledge and experience working with medications.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mastery in computer software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail in written and oral communications.
  • Must excel in a Team focused environment.
