About the Role:

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for performing high-complexity testing and analysis of clinical specimens. This role supports accurate diagnosis and patient care by ensuring timely and reliable test results in accordance with laboratory protocols and regulatory standards.

Shift:

The shifts we have available are below:

• Wednesday-Saturday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

You Will:

• Perform routine and specialized analysis on blood, serum, urine, and other body fluids using automated analyzers and manual techniques.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chemistry instrumentation, ensuring proper calibration and quality control.

• Review and validate test results; identify and resolve discrepancies or abnormal findings in a timely manner.

• Adhere to laboratory SOPs, CLIA standards, and quality assurance practices.

• Monitor and document quality control data, instrument maintenance logs, and reagent inventory.

• Collaborate with fellow technologists, laboratory assistants, and supervisory staff to maintain efficient workflow.

• Participate in proficiency testing, competency assessments, and continuing education activities.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of biohazardous materials.

You Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.

• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (e.g., ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) preferred.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical chemistry laboratory experience preferred (new grads may be considered).

• Familiarity with automated chemistry and hematology analyzers (e.g., Roche, Beckman Coulter, Sysmex).

• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office applications.

   

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in general chemistry, special chemistry, and/or toxicology testing.

• Familiarity with LIS systems
