MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent and four (4) years of experience in laboratory work; or 

College or vocational/technical training can substitute at the rate of 30 (1 year) semester, 45 quarter (1 year) or 720 (1 year) classroom hours for each year (4 years) of the required experience provided such education includes three courses in the physical and/or natural sciences.

JOB DUTIES:

Receives incoming shipments, routes packing slips, and enters inventory items into the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) to maintain accurate tracking and compliance.

Conducts routine inventory checks, monitors supply levels, and submits requests for purchase to prevent delays in laboratory activities and ensure essential consumables are available when needed, minimizing the risk of running out of critical items.

Manages inventory related to large sampling events, including storage, monitoring, and shipment of related supplies for planned and emergency sampling efforts.

Assists the sample custodian with sample receiving and cleaning dairy coolers and preparing them for return shipment, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and made available to inspectors promptly.
