ORR Medical Assistant (English/Spanish)

What you’ll do: (Office of Refugee Resettlement) ORR Medical Assistant maintains an efficient and organized medical office by supporting medical staff with daily administrative duties, including filing, answering phones, and ensuring the Medical Clinic remains clean and orderly. The Medical Assistant helps maintain a consistent flow of students being seen by medical practitioners, monitors and supervises students waiting for medical services, and transports students between program activities, the Medical Clinic or Office, and group living areas. Responsibilities also include filing medical documentation in student medical charts and, under the direction of the Medical Manager or Medical Coordinator, documenting medical supply orders. The Medical Assistant ensures the safety, health, and welfare of staff and students at all times, provides encouragement, guidance, and resources as needed, and serves as a positive role model and mentor.

Schedule

• Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday 
• Work schedule is based on program needs.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant required.
• For ORR programs, EMT, CNA or other acceptable medical related certifications are acceptable.
• Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License
  and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
