About the role
Under the direction of the Pathologist and Department Director, performs Phlebotomy and collects respiratory specimens on different age groups in proficient and caring manner while maintaining adherence to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards for Category I exposure level. Processes specimens and performs waived testing as allowed by CLIA regulations. Performs secretarial duties essential to the Laboratory.
Qualifications
- Required to be a graduate of an accredited high school or its equivalent.
- Has knowledge relative to age of patients served.
- Experience in Phlebotomy is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred, but not required.
Starting pay range varies based on experience up to 10 years.
