About Us:
The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic is a physician-owned clinic specializing in orthopedic care for all ages. With a specialized, comprehensive team of orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, physical therapists, and friendly support staff, OFC is among the most experienced orthopedic groups in Minnesota. Our primary clinic offers comprehensive services through our Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine Department, Back Care Center, in-office X-ray, and MRI. 

About the Role:
The Radiologic Technologist works under general supervision to assist the surgeons in diagnostic procedures and works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel. 

Responsibilities
•    Perform diagnostic procedures as required and achieve a high level of diagnostic image quality. 
•    Assist patients with dressing, when appropriate.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
•    Clean equipment after each use.
•    Understand and adhere to OSHA requirements for workplace safety to protect against
o    Potential exposure to bodily fluids.
o    Workplace injuries.

 General Responsibilities
•    Obtain patient history as needed.
•    Reassure patients and ease them through exams.
•    Act as an agent to obtain medical information to aid the physician's diagnosis and treatment. 
•    Be proficient in the technical operation of all diagnostic equipment, use proper care in handling equipment, and          maintain equipment. 

•    Report all malfunctions and the need for adjustments to the supervisor.
•    Be willing to work other shifts as the departmental workload requires.
•    Participate in an ongoing education program.
•    Send out and receive X-rays.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Location & Commitments:
•    Mankato office: 1431 Premier Drive | Mankato, MN 56001
•    Full-time M-F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility.
•    Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. 

Candidate Requirements:
•    Formal training acquired through completion of a certified Radiologic Technology Program; R.T. (R) Certification. 
•    Current ARRT registered technologist in good standing. 
•    Current CPR certification (preferred).
•    Continuing education requirements. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills to effectively work with a variety of employees and management. 
•    Able to perceive and interpret written, oral/verbal material and generate written and electronic material. 
•    Generate written and electronic material and visually evaluate the radiographic quality of X-rays.
•    Work with patients tactfully and effectively without direct supervision. 
•    Speaks articulately.
•    Alternately stand, walk for up to eight hours per day, bend, stoop, twist, and kneel.
•    Assist patients in turning, transferring on and off the exam table, arising from and returning to a wheelchair, and pushing wheelchair patients.
•    Able to carry/lift up to 50 pounds.
