Overview

Under the direction of a radiologist, performs technical pediatric radiographic procedures without constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Participates in department and hospital LEAN improvement activities that align with the five True North Pillars. In addition, supports the CMH Service Excellence Program through demonstrated knowledge of CMH Shared Values, Mission and Vision, and Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic procedures per department protocol. Able to utilize and be completely competent with fluoroscopy, C-arm, portable exams, bone density and all diagnostic equipment. PRN roles are required to meet specific parameters as defined in departmental policy documents. Review details with leader.
Performs essential RIS/HIS functions. Performs and maintains LEAN practices as it relates to Patient Safety and Quality.
Assists radiologist in all appropriate procedures. Maintains accurate inventory control functions.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible ARRT No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training
Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT
Professional registration (ARRT or equivalent) Required Upon Hire
BLS certification Required Upon Hire
Current CEUs per ARRT requirements Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.15/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
