Job Details: Job Location: Hospital Main Campus - Idaho Falls, ID, Position Type: PRN (as needed), Education Level: RT(R) with the American Registry of Radi, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Health Care, Mountain View Hospital is looking for a MRI Technologist to join our team!   JOB SUMMARY: The MRI Technologist is responsible for the daily organization of activities in the Magnetic Resonance Department, and is accountable to perform safe, timely and accurate procedures, including invasive studies and MRI scans, for diagnostic purposes.   BENEFITS: Taking care for our community starts with taking care of our own team. Performs a variety of Magnetic Resonance procedures independently in accordance with existing policies and procedures within the MRI suite. 2. Completes proper and comprehensive patient screening prior to MRI examination and/or IV contrast administration. 3. Assesses technical quality of images before giving such to the Radiologist; performs repeats as necessary. 4. Documents appropriate patient information necessary for exam interpretation and patient care. 5. Able to start IV’s for contrast administration and blood draws for pre-contrast screening as needed. 6. Administers intravenous contrast under the direction of the Radiologist. 7. Answers questions and provides information to center customers, including nursing staff, physicians, and the general public on MR procedures, crosssectional, longitudinal and oblique imaged anatomy, and MRI physics. 8. Troubleshoots technical problems and works with the vendors to resolve problems that arise. 9. Maintains flexibility as department grows with a willingness to accept additional responsibilities requested by department director. 10. Demonstrates age-specific competency for the following groups: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Qualifications: Education/Certification:  Must hold or obtain current licensure as a RT(R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent. Must hold or obtain current licensure as an RT(R) (MR) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent within one year of hire. Must hold or obtain current BLS.
