POSITION SUMMARY: Performs and assists physician and co-workers with all types of procedures while delivering quality patient care. Ability to operate radiation-producing equipment. Perform all job functions as a scrub tech, recording of data and documentation and ability to circulate procedures under the direct supervision of a Register Nurse. Support an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups. Functions under the supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab Charge Nurse.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists Cardiologists/Electrophysiologists as a scrub assistant, including insertion and manipulation of cardiac catheters, diagnostic and interventional procedures, angiogram injections and acquisitions.
- Operation of physiological computer monitoring and imaging equipment
- Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing Radiographic Skills, including contrast administration according to policy
- Inventory maintenance
- Performance Improvement participation
- Transportation of patients

Qualifications
Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
- American Registry of Radiology Technologist
- Current State of Texas License
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment
- This must be obtained prior to providing patient care
- ACLS completion within 3 months after hire/promotion
