What You’ll Do
The Certified Surgical Scrub Technician/First Assist (CST/FA) provides patient care through the application of skills. The CST/FA provides patient care under the direct supervision of the surgeon and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physicians and the patient/family to achieve the optimal patient outcomes. The position has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions in collaboration with others. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager. When functioning in surgery, this individual works under the supervision of the Physician who is readily available.
Required Qualifications: First Assistant should be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent. Current certification as a Certified First Assist (CFA or CSA).
The Registered Nurse, First Assist (RNFA) provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and process to develop, implement and evaluate patient’s plan of care. The RNFA, as the primary care giver, provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physician and the patient/family to achieve the optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager. When functioning in surgery, this individual works under the supervision of the Physician who is readily available.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited Program in Nursing (BSN required within 3 years of hire); RN - Registered Nurse with Current Ohio License. RNFA - Registered Nurse First Assist.
