Northwest Eyes is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice, and we are searching for a full-time Surgical Technologist for our Renton ASC location. Our Company is nationally recognized, with vast clinical experience in a wide variety of eye surgical services, advanced technology, and proven results. Responsibilities:
- Process and sterilize instruments to the highest standards.
- Assist and handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
- Gain an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and function cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics.
- Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique and vigilance of the sterile field during the surgical procedure.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Windows or G-Suite
- Effectively work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated multitasking
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of sterile technique as it is applied to the operating room
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellence in communication skills and ability to convey ideas and information, verbally and in writing
- Strong organization and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant
- Current CPR/AED is mandatory (ACLS is preferred)
