The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
- Perform on-site radiological and electrocardiogram examinations as required by the proper authority.
- Operate and maintain portable digital X-ray equipment to safely perform high-quality diagnostic imaging within a secure correctional environment.
- Instantly verify image quality and securely transmit digital diagnostic images electronically to radiologists for interpretation, eliminating the need for physical film.
- Transport and maneuver mobile imaging units to various housing units and medical clinics within the facility while strictly adhering to institutional security and safety protocols."
- Keep equipment and work area clean; utilize appropriate sanitation methods.
- Arrange for prompt interpretation of x-rays as required or required in an emergency or other applicable situations.
- Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.
- Accurately and maintain daily x-ray logs, x-ray identification cards of standard narrative, statistical, summary and/or operational records, reports, and logs and properly process all reports and documents in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
- Must have completed an accredited associate degree program
- Must have passed the national ARRT certification exam
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
