International Family Medicine is seeking a compassionate, professional, and dependable Bilingual (English/Spanish) Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team.
We are a patient-centered medical practice that truly cares about the quality of care we provide. We believe that excellent patient care begins the moment a patient walks through our doors. Our front desk team plays an essential role in making every patient feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner
- Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently
- Answer telephone calls and assist patients with questions, scheduling, and general concerns
- Communicate clearly and compassionately in both English and Spanish
- Help patients find solutions while remaining patient, empathetic, and professional
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations
- Learn and use the clinic’s electronic medical record and scheduling systems
- Work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment
- Collaborate respectfully with providers, clinical staff, and other front desk team members
- Remain flexible and willing to assist with different responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish is required
- Respectful, compassionate, helpful, and professional at all times
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Willing and able to learn new systems and procedures
- Flexible, dependable, organized, and attentive to detail
- Able to remain calm and courteous when assisting patients
- Committed to protecting patient privacy and following HIPAA requirements
- Previous medical office or front desk experience is preferred
