Sentara Plastic Surgery Specialists are seeking to hire an individual to join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant.

Position Status: Full-time, Days
Position Location: Norfolk, VA
Overview
Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
- Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
Experience
- Clinical or Administrative Experience of 1 year
- Related experience (Preferred)
