About the Role:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their medical journey. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certifying organization; CMA, CCMA, RMA or NCMA. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a medical office or clinic.
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting healthcare providers during procedures.
• Conduct phlebotomy and other laboratory tests as required, ensuring proper techniques and safety protocols are followed.
• Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, fostering a supportive environment for patient inquiries.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and contribute to a positive team dynamic.

Skills:

The required skills for this position, such as medical assisting and vital signs monitoring, are essential for providing direct patient care and ensuring accurate health assessments.
