About the Role:

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers in our Ambulatory Surgery Center by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative assistance. The role demands a thorough understanding of medical terminology and general medical knowledge to accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited organization.
• Proven experience in clinical tasks including vital signs measurement.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and general medical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Current BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Training or experience in patient education and counseling.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient dressing, hygiene, mobility, and transport.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations.
• Perform clinical tasks and administering basic patient care.
• Manage patient records, update medical charts, and ensure accurate documentation using medical terminology.
• Maintain patient areas.
• Respond to patient needs or triage clinical requests appropriately.
• Handle medical office communications and perform general administrative duties as needed.
