Medical Assistant

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures.
  
  
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document medical histories and clinical information in the EMR.
  
  
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including sanitation and supply stocking.
  
  
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the supervising physician and within applicable scope of practice.
  
  
• Perform phlebotomy and other routine clinical tasks.
  
  
• Collect, label, and process specimens for laboratory submission.
  
  
• Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
  
  
• Provide patients with clear and compassionate pre- and post-procedure instructions.
  
  
• Respond to patient questions and communicate concerns appropriately to the clinical team.
  
  
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation.
  
  
• Follow HIPAA, infection-control, safety, and practice policies and procedures.
  
  
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
  
  

• High school diploma or GED required.
  
  
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
  
  
• 2+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, specialty practice, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
  
  
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  
  
• Strong phlebotomy and vital-sign skills.
  
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
