We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care office.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will work closely with our providers and clinical team to provide excellent patient care and support the daily operations of our primary care office. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures
• Perform injections and other clinical duties within scope of practice
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens as needed
• Perform EKGs and other clinical testing as required
• Update and maintain accurate patient medical records
• Assist with medication refills and other patient needs
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider
• Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and clinical areas
• Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and coworkers
• Assist with other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Primary care or family medicine experience is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Professional and compassionate approach to patient care
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office
