Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality and compassionate care to our patients. You will work under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care. What You Will Do
- Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.
- Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
- Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and readiness.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective patient care.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
- Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
