If Yes, Here’s How You Will Contribute to the Team:
As the Respiratory Therapist Service Director in our nursing facility, you will oversee the respiratory care department, ensuring that residents receive the highest level of care for their breathing disorders. You will manage the respiratory therapy team, direct care protocols, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. In addition, you will ensure regulatory compliance, manage the use of respiratory equipment, and lead quality improvement initiatives.
Must Have:
- 2-4 years of experience providing direct Respiratory Therapy in a long-term care or nursing facility setting.
- Current Respiratory License in the state.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency or high-pressure situations.
- Current and valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and terminology related to respiratory care in long-term care.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team in a nursing facility.
- Experience in an acute care respiratory unit or skilled nursing environment.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or other electronic health records (EHR) systems.
