Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
- Position and instruct patients prior to examination; adjust equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
- Ensure image quality meets diagnostic standards; apply radiation safety principles and shielding as appropriate.
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and staff to support timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain equipment, follow infection control practices, and adhere to department protocols and safety guidelines.

Requirements
- Active radiologic technology license/registration as required by state regulations for practice in Oregon.
- Ability to operate x-ray equipment and produce diagnostic-quality radiographs.
- Availability to work evenings and 10-hour shifts in a travel assignment.
- Strong patient communication and positioning skills.
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and standard imaging procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
