Responsibilities
- Provide adult and geriatric respiratory care per physician orders and department policies
- Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy; maintain patient care charts and records
- Manage ventilated patients and perform arterial blood gas sampling per policy
- Document treatments and charges; complete electronic medical records and flow sheets
- Assist with department operations, training, and supervision as delegated; participate in performance of pulmonary function tests as needed
- Support nursing staff and other team members in patient surveillance and equipment care

Requirements
- Licenses/ Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential (required in CA); Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (CA) required
- Certifications: CPR/BLS (required); ACLS (required); NRP (preferred); PALS (preferred); PEARS (preferred); BLS/CPR as specified per AH policy
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications may require Bachelor's); Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field (three years preferred)
- Other: Current nursing license per the state of assignment; ability to work with adult and geriatric patients; ability to work night shifts and follow department policies
