Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date 09/28/2026 for 52 weeks. Weekly pay $1,974–$2,161. Responsibilities
- Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients.
- Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy, document care, and maintain patient charts.
- Manage care for ventilated patients and monitor devices as ordered by the physician and aligned with department policies.
- Complete electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charge documentation for each patient.
- Assist in department record keeping, training, and supervision of new staff as delegated.
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and participate in ongoing quality and safety activities.
- Educate nursing staff and other team members on surveillance of patient status and equipment after initial installation.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: CA Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required; NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required in CA.
- Additional certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor required; CPR/CPR equivalents may apply per policy.
- Neonatal and pediatric supports: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; PEARS preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent field experience; three years of technical experience preferred.
- General: Ability to work in a hospital setting with adult and geriatric patients; ability to work night shifts.
